Ethan wants to marry Melissa. Now! But a trip to the theatre turns into a life lesson on “patience as a necessary virtue” when, as a result of his rash behavior, he is drawn from the anonymity of the audience onto the stage and into the glare of the spotlights. Unable to escape the stage, he plays the unwilling actor (or prop!) in a variety of outrageous scenes in which he encounters such delightful characters as retired wrestler, “Nick the Brick” and his partner “The Masked Avenger”, Sarah and Sophie, the French owner of a coffee shop and her beleaguered waitress, and two soon-to-be-wed couples that may be rushing into marriage, Vegas, and the International Spud Festival a little too quickly. Of course, he learns from his exploits and appears in the end to be a new, improved, and definitely more patient, Ethan, but the journey to his new self is a wonderful ride. Minimal scenery/props.
